This sugar free, high protein, lactose free, no dairy and zero trans fat pulses recipe that is perfect for beginners and masterchefs. The popular vegetarian and vegan european recipe is a perfect evening and all day snacks dish. The savoury dish goes well with coriander chutney, raw mango chutney, carrot orange cucumber turmeric juice or apple pomegranate sweet lime juice.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Chickpeas (Chole)
  • 1 Tbsp Grated Beetroot
  • 1/2 Tbsp Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 Tsp Cumin Powder (Jeera)
  • 1/4 Tsp Dry Mango Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Oil
  • As Required Water

Method

    Soak & Boil Chole

    Take a mixing bowl and add the previously boiled chole, garlic paste, grated beetroot, salt, jeera powder and dry mango powder

  • Step 2

    Mash and mix properly with hand

  • Step 3

    Making sure all the ingredients are evenly distributed, roll this batter into cylindrical shaped fingers and coat them with bread crumbs and set it aside

  • Step 4

    Brush the oven plate with oil and place the bread crumb coated raw fingers

  • Step 5

    Cook in the microwave for 10 minutes

  • Step 6

    Serve hot with a chutney or dip of your choice
