This popular non vegetarian punjabi recipe is a perfect lunch and dinner main course dish. The recipe goes perfectly with roti, butter naan, ghee paratha.

Ingredients

  • 70 gms. Chicken, Breast
  • 5 Cubes Yellow Capsicum
  • 6 Cubes Red Capsicum
  • 6 Cubes Green Capsicum
  • 1.5 Tbsp Chopped Onion
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Tomato
  • 1/2 Tsp Dry Mango Powder (Amchur)
  • 2 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Tbsp Curd
  • 1/8 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 Tsp Corn Flour
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1/2 Tsp Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 1 Tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 3 Tsp Oil
  • As Required Water

Method

Pre Preparation
  • Step 1

    Make puree of chopped onion and chopped tomato

For Marination
  • Step 1

    In a bowl, add curd, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, black pepper powder, coriander seed powder, ginger garlic paste and oil and mix well

  • Step 2

    Now add salt and cornflour mixture, water and mix into a smooth paste keep this mixture aside

For Tikka Skewers
  • Step 1

    Insert chicken and capsicum alternately on skewers, apply the marination well

  • Step 2

    Brush the pan with oil

  • Step 3

    Roast till light brown or well cooked

For gravy
  • Step 1

    In a pan, heat oil, add cumin seeds, tomato puree and bring to a boil

  • Step 2

    Now add ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, dry mango powder, 1/2 tsp salt

  • Step 3

    Add curd, water and the cooked tikkas

  • Step 4

    Give it a good mix

  • Step 5

    Garnish with cream and coriander leaves

  • Step 6

    Serve hot with roti
