Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Black Gram Dal (Urad)
  • 2 Tbsp Rice
  • 2 Tbsp Chopped Tomato
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Onion
  • 4 No. Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • 1/4 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/4 Tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1/4 Tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Oil
  • As Required Water

Method

Preparation
  • Step 1

    In a pressure cooker, add oil, jeera, kadi patta and hing. Let it crackle

  • Step 2

    Now, chopped onion, chopped tomato, rice, urad dal, red chilly powder, haldi, salt and water

  • Step 3

    Pressure cook for 2 whistles

  • Step 4

    Serve hot
