For Black Gram Dal Soaked
  • 1/2 Tbsp Black Gram Dal (Urad)
  • As Required Water
For Black Rajma Soaked Overnight
  • 1/3 Tbsp Black Kidney Beans (Rajma)
  • As Required Water
For Dal Makhani
  • 2 Tbsp Chopped Tomato
  • 1.5 Tbsp Chopped Onion
  • 1 Tsp Fresh Cream
  • 1/2 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 No. Bay Leaf
  • 1/2 Tsp Dry Fenugreek (Kasuri Methi)
  • 1/4 Tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/8 Tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • As Required Water

Method

Pre Preparation
  • Step 1

    Take a chopped tomato and make a puree

  • Step 2

    Soak and Boil brown rajma and whole urad

  • Step 1

    In a kadhai, heat butter, add jeera, bay leaf, chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, prepared tomato puree, and saute them well

  • Step 2

    Add cooked rajma whole urad dal, haldi, red chilly powder, dhania powder, salt, water as required, Kasuri methi, and cover and cook till done

  • Step 3

    Add cream and mix well

  • Step 4

    Serve hot
