This is a quintessential pakoda dish from the lands of Indian, but a favorite across India too. It is a Savoury and delicious recipe. This flavorful vegetarian and vegan recipe can be had as a mid-morning and evening snacks dish. Have it with coriander chutney, mint coriander chutney, raw mango chutney, or garlic chutney, and make your meal interesting. It's a quick and easy lactose-free recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 No. Boiled Small Size Potato
  • 1 Tbsp Grated Beet Root
  • 1 Tbsp Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 Tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1/4 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/8 Tsp Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Oil
  • As Required Water

Method

Pre Preparation
  • Step 1

    Boil baby potatoes and keep aside

    In a mixing bowl, add boiled potatoes, grated beetroot, ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, haldi, chaat masala, ajwain, dhania powder, jeera, salt, and mix well with your fingers

  • Step 2

    Sprinkle bread crumbs and mix again

  • Step 3

    Shape the mixture into 3 uniform cutlets and keep aside

  • Step 4

    In a pan, heat oil and shallow fry the cutlets on both sides

  • Step 5

    Serve hot with tomato ketchup
