Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Rice
  • 2 Tbsp Grated Beet Root
  • 2 Tsp Black Gram Dal (Urad)
  • 1/8 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Oil
  • As Required Water

Method

Pre Preparation
  • Step 1

    Soak rice and urad dal for 2 Hours in required water and grind till smooth

  • Step 2

    Add a little salt and keep it overnight to ferment

    In the batter, add grated beet root and mix well

  • Step 2

    Grease Idli Mold with oil and pour batter to it

  • Step 3

    Cover and steam till cooked

  • Step 4

    Serve hot with choice of chutney
