South Indian Kadhi is a  popular veg recipe that will surely stimulate your tastebuds. This flavorful dish will make your meal more nutritionally diverse.

Ingredients

  • 1/8 Cup Curd
  • 2 Tsp Grated Fresh Coconut
  • 1 Tsp Bengal Gram Dal (Chana)
  • 1 Tsp Chopped Green Chilli
  • 1/2 Tsp Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 4 No. Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • 1/4 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/2 Tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)
  • As Required Water

Method

Preparation
  • Step 1

    Take grated coconut, chopped green chilli, chana dal, dhania powder, jeera, water and grind it to a thick paste

  • Step 2

    In a bowl, add curd, salt to taste and ground coconut paste and mix well

  • Step 3

    Heat ghee in a kadhai, put rai and let it crackle

  • Step 4

    Next, add kadi patta, prepared mixture, water as required and mix well

  • Step 5

    Add the tempering to the kadhi, and serve hot with chapatti or rice
