FitterEats Bread Besan Toast Pakoda is an Indian, vegetarian spicy sandwich that is everybody's favorite. A lactose free, no dairy, sugar free and no added sugar snack option, it can be had as an evening, all day or mid morning snack. Team up this Besan Pudla with coriander chutney, beet aam panna, mango milkshake or mint coriander chutney as a nutritious comfort food combination. This is an easy tiffin recipe with bread and is also a great Indian recipe for Fussy Eaters.

Method

For besan mixture
  • Step 1

    Take 1 tbsp besan in a bowl and little water to make a paste. Keep it aside

  • Step 2

    In a kadai, heat 2 tsp oil, add 1/4 tsp rai, 1/4 tsp chopped green chilli, 1/4 tsp hing, 1 tbsp chopped onion, 1 tbsp chopped tomato, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/4 tsp red chilly powder, 1/4 tsp haldi, 1/4 tsp salt and the prepared besan paste

  • Step 3

    Add enough water to cook the besan

  • Step 4

    Stir it well to avoid any lumps

  • Step 5

    Cook to thicken the besan mixture

  • Step 6

    Add 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves

For Besan Toast
  • Step 1

    Heat 1 tsp oil in the pan

  • Step 2

    Dip bread in the besan mixture

  • Step 3

    Place bread in the pan

  • Step 4

    Fry till golden brown

  • Step 5

    Serve it hot
