- 2 Tbsp Green Gram Dal (Moong)
- 1/4 Cup Chopped Spinach (Palak)
- 2 Tbsp Chopped Onion
- 2 Tbsp Chopped Tomato
- 1/4 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- 1/8 Tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
- 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
- 1/8 Tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tsp Oil
- As Required Water
Method
Pre Preparation
Step 1
Cook moong dal and keep aside

Heat oil in a nonstick pan, add rai, jeera, hing, chopped onion and cook until they turn light brown
Step 2
Then add chopped tomato, haldi, cooked moong dal and mix well
Step 3
Add chopped spinach to the dal, salt and water
Step 4
Cover and let it simmer for a while
Step 5
Stir the dal and sprinkle crushed jeera
Step 6
Serve hot with rice
