This antioxidant rich, zero trans fat, lactose free, no dairy, no added sugar and super grains dosa recipe that is perfect for beginners and masterchefs. The popular vegetarian and vegan kerala recipe is a perfect breakfast, evening, lunch or dinner snacks dish. The savoury dish goes well with coconut chutney, beet coconut chutney, pudina chutney or onion chutney.

Method

Pre Preparation
  • Step 1

    Boil 1/8 cup tur dal

For Batter
  • Step 1

    In a bowl, add 3 tbsp oats flour, 1 tbsp suji, 1/8 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves and a little water

  • Step 2

    Mix well and keep aside

For Sambhar
  • Step 1

    In a pan, heat 1/2 tsp oil

  • Step 2

    Add 1/8 tsp rai, 3 kadi patta leaves, 1/4 red chillies, 1/8 tsp haldi, 1/8 tsp hing, 1 tbsp sambhar powder and saute

  • Step 3

    Now add 1/8 cup chopped tomato, 2 drumstick, 1/8 cup diced brinjal, 1/8 cup diced green capsicum and mix well

  • Step 4

    Add 1/8 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp sambhar powder, boiled tur dal, 1/2 tbsp tamarind pulp, required water, 1/2 tsp grated fresh coconut and allow it to boil and cook well

  • Step 5

    Garnish with 1/4 tsp chopped coriander leaves and serve

For Dosa)
  • Step 1

    Heat 1 tsp oil in tawa and pour a ladle of the prepared batter and spread it on the tawa

  • Step 2

    Flip and roast on other side as well

  • Step 3

    Serve with hot sambhar
