Craving for a hearty homemade cake - try this nutty and yummy Walnut cake. Walnut adds in a healthy dose of good fats and omega 3 which makes it pretty irresistible. You can choose to add your choice of nuts. So, without further ado - get baking! Pair it with a glass of plain milk for a fun snack time. 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Maida
  • 1/3 Cup Cow Milk
  • 1/8 Cup Curd
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Walnut(Chopped)
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/8 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/8 Tsp Salt
  • 1.5 Tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder

Method

Preparation
  • Step 1

    In a bowl, add oil, sugar powder and whisk it well

  • Step 2

    Then add curd, vanilla extract, maida, baking powder, baking soda, salt and mix well

  • Step 3

    Once mixed, add cow milk and chopped walnuts

  • Step 4

    Cut and fold the mixture gently

  • Step 5

    Brush a tin with oil and pour batter evenly

  • Step 6

    Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius and bake for 25 mins

  • Step 7

    Check with a toothpick if the cake is ready

  • Step 8

    If it comes out clean, then the cake is done

  • Step 9

    Slice and serve warm or cold
