Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Black Gram Dal (Urad)
  • 1 Tsp Chopped Green Chilli
  • 1/2 Tsp Grated Ginger
  • 1/2 Tsp Fennel Seed
  • 1/4 Tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Cumin Powder (Jeera)
  • 1/8 Tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tsp Oil
  • For Frying Oil
  • As Required Water

Method

For Urad Dal Paste
  • Step 1

    Wash and soak urad dal and grind it with green chilies to make a coarse paste

  • Step 2

    Crush saunf

Preparation
  • Step 1

    In a bowl add, wheat flour, prepared urad dal paste, 1/4 tsp salt, hing, jeera powder, dhania powder, red chilly powder, crushed saunf, grated ginger, oil, chopped green chili, mix well and knead a tight dough

  • Step 2

    Take a small ball and roll out a poori

  • Step 3

    Heat oil in a pan for frying and fry pooris till golden

  • Step 4

    Serve hot
